I want to upgrade my computer for gaming. At present I have g3240 with 4gb of ram.I'll add another 4gb ram.My question is about the graphics card...shall I go for gtx 1050/1050 ti??I have a 768p monitors and some of the game I want to play(at high-med settings) are hitman, dishonored 2 and batman arkham knight

Solution

Hitman 2017, dishonored 2 and batman arkham night will all run quite terrible with that cpu no matter the gpu.

nope there isn't much difference in the price and I want to go for 1050ti 'cause of its vram.I just wanted to know if there will be any major bottleneck with my g3240 or not

that batman game is so broken no matter what your specs it will run like your legs are shattered

you are also encouraged to have 12+ gb of ram

utterly unplayable to me, even with my OC'ed i5

the best you can hope for is to lock it at 30 fps XD

some games that is also cpu heavy will present a bottleneck.what is your gpu atm?

yeah I have seen the game's benchmarks and I realized I HAVE to lock it at 30fps (I'm fine by that though :D)

I don't have any dedicated gpu right now.

Hitman will run fine then. Dishonored 2 will still be a mixed bag and batman will still go to unplayable.

what if I cap both dishonored 2 and batman at 30fps?

Batman runs terrible even on high end systems so just forget about that game. Dishonored will still drop below 30 no matter what you do. Limiting the fps won't change the fact that it drops lower.

ok I got it(although I was really eager to play that batman:( ) and one last question, should I use 2x4gb rams or 8gb?

2x4gb kit to have a small performance boost with dual channel.
