Hi, I wanted to upgrade my PC but I am not up to date with todays components. Im from Poland and my currency here is PLN. I want to spend up to 1500-2000pln. I mostly play games such as Dayz, RDR2, Scum etc.
My pc specs are:

My PC specsi7 4790k
Asrock z97 extreme4
Nvme 500gb ssd
Msi rtx3070
Ssd samsung evo 840 120gb
HDD WD caviar blue 1tb
4x8gb RAM Corsair 2133hz
Corsair RM650x PSU

Thanks in advance for your help

Geeze you need to upgrade that CPU and Motherboard now. Your 3070 is most likely being bottlenecked by your ancient 4790K CPU. I'd recommend upgrade to an AMD 5800X3D CPU with any B550 motherboard to go with it, doesn't matter which one - just choose one that fits your tastes. As for RAM you'll want AT LEAST 3200MHz clock speed DDR4, something like this. After that, save up a bit more and get a 1TB SSD for games, could be a Crucial MX500 or samsung 870 EVO, any of those two are good choices.

Thanks for the tips, I read all your comments and it helped me a bit to get a direction in which I'm supposed to go. I know my gpu is way to powerful for my build but my previous card died and I had to buy a new one.

Im also looking at i5 12600k with a standard notherboard, basic cpu cooler and 16gb 3200mhz ram which would cost me 2500pln. Is it worth adding that 500pln extra for the cpu? Ive seen some benchmarks and it looks promising but is it really?

The 12600k compared to what other CPU specifically?

List ALL of the parts you are considering, with full details including brand, model, and price for each if possible.

What is a "standard motherboard"?

What is a "basic CPU cooler"?

Im considering:
Cpus:
I5 12400f
I5 12600k
Amd ryzen 7 5800x
I7 12700f

Motherboards
Amd
GIGABYTE B550 Gaming X V2
Intel
Gigabyte B660 DS3H DDR4

Ram
Kingston Fury Beast 16GB [2x8GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM]

Cooling
Intel - SilentiumPC Fera 5 Dual Fan
Amd - COOLER MASTER Hyper H412R

Note - Im using full tower Inwin GrOne case

Both of those coolers will fit in that case.

The Silentium is a good cooler in its price range and should be adequate on any of those CPUs if not overclocking.

The Intel CPUs ending in F do NOT have integrated graphics. Maybe you are OK with that.

I personally WOULD pay an extra 500 PLN for the 12600k over the 12400f. That's about 100 US dollars and is about the same price differential you see in the US. Additionally, you get integrated graphics on the 12600k.

I might go for the 12700 if budget is OK, but I would not want the 12700f because it does not have integrated graphics. Again, maybe you don't care about that.

However, the 12700 isn't going to be a noticeable improvement over the 12600k for most users. The 12700 might cost 300 or 400 more PLN than the 12600k. It is quite possible you can find a better place to spend that 300 or 400. Maybe on better or larger storage. Maybe on a different motherboard or better cooler.

You should be OK with a B660 micro ATX motherboard if available to you. Maybe a Gigabyte or MSI. That might save you 200 or 300 PLN.

You are on the right track. Keep refining the parts as long as you are within budget. Don't rush.
