The i5-4570 was released on June 2, 2013, so the system is quite old.

If the HP BIOS allows it (debatable), you might be able to fit the Xeon E3-1200 v3, but it's clocked 100MHz lower than the i5-4570 and has the same 4-core 4-thread setup, i.e. ho hyperthreading.

Unless you can find the Xeon in the support list for your PC on HP's web site, I'd advise against fitting it. You probably wouldn't see much difference even if it is compatible.

You'd probably have more luck with the GT 730. It's Windows 10 compatible (just).

Apart from the fact your PC is 5 to 6 years olderthan the minimum spec for Windows 11, if you're really determined to try Windows 11, create a bootable USB memory stick from the Windows 11 ISO using Rufus. and disable Secure Boot and TPM.

You might get Windows 11 to work, but it will be horrendously slow and you'll end up with a Microsoft Basic Adapter, because the GT 730 isn't supported by Windows 11 (as far as I know).

What's to stop you reinstalling your old software under Windows 10 or 7? What software do you want to use that specifically requires Windows 11?

Although the GT 730 has Windows 10 drivers, it's such an old card it's hardly surprising it doesn't work that well under your current vesrion of Windows. I've got several GT 730s and they're OK for basic surfing and Office, but too slow for more taxing apps.

Stick with software released before 2016 and forget Windows 11. You'd be better off buying a newer PC with hardware released after 2018 if you want to run Windows 11.

Some Intel CPUs employ Hyper Threading to split each physical Core into two logical cores or Threads. Hence an i7-4770K has 4-cores and 8-threads. It makes the CPU slightly faster than a similar CPU with 4 non hyperthreaded cores.

yea i got that same idea the gt730 works but it doent have AV and most game now require it lol im looking into getting ACEMAGIC AD08 Gaming Mini PC - 12th Gen Intel Core I9-11900H Up to 4.9GHz Processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD, 3 Performance Modes, RGB Light Control, WiFi 6, BT 5.2, 4K@60Hz Triple Display, Dual Fans for Smooth Performance i can just use this for home office stuff and that for my gaming

I pick up one of those Z220 SFF as well and a few thing about the system.

With rufus Windows 11 works great no slowdown just works like normal.

To get the GTX 750 working if there is no driver for Windows 11 use a Windows 10 instead.

If there is no Windows 10 driver use a Windows 7 driver and install it under compatibility mode for Windows 7-64 bit.

I threw in 4x8 of ddr3 for 32 Gb system ram.

It will use a Xeon CPU mine has the cousin to the I7 for that motherboard.

You can use a Xeon CPU but not registered ram. Other Z HP workstation let you but not the Z220.

The power supply is limited to it is what it is. No option to upgrade to beef up for a better GPU due to it being a SFF case.

Mine has a Quadro 2000 and I don't use as a gaming machine I have tested to see what it can do.

Most games up to 2015 work fine and I would never expect good results on current games.

Your GTX 750 beats the pants off the Quadro 2000.

My advice is bump up the memory about $35. off amazon.

Get windows 10 or Windows 11 with the help of rufus fully working.

Get the GTX 750 drive sorted out and see how it runs.
