I've been told my ram is terrible and is really causing this computer to not shine. Is this true? Why or why not?

If i did want to upgrade ram what would be a good upgrade?

No, it's not bad, it shows you that you are graphics limited. This means that faster RAM will not help one bit. You will need to get your hands on another 780TI card.
