Build Advice Upgrading my rusty but trusty i5-4670k, motherboard and RAM ?

Could go with 4000Mhz ram but apparently it doesn't play well with Ryzen so probably not worth it.. the difference overall between the 5700x and 5800x is small and compared to my 4670k.... Both offer massive boosts in performance.. hope this works on as it should, I'm a little worried about the motherboard but I think it's compatible and offers enough for the money.
This should be a good upgrade, and definitely stick with 3600 as the hassle to go above isn't worth it unless tweaking hardware is a hobby.

Yea I agree, I do like a tinker but honestly I'm getting to the point in my life now where I'd just like it to work... From what I have at the moment it'll make a big difference, then can drop the old stuff in my emulator rig.

PS; really odd that it doesn't run at the started speeds of 4000/4400/4600 as described, seen a bunch of threads on it..
 
The asus has a couple of m2 slots , that's been a pain point I've had, not having enough high speed storage (compared to what I have now)
