Hi , I hope someone will be able to help. I am going to upgrade my PC before Christmas and wanted to know what decent parts would be good to put in.

I play a lot of games including ARMA 2/3, Battlefield, all the Total Wars etc.

I want to get a new motherboard to make my system better for gaming. One which would work well with the current processor and graphics card, and can run 16GB of ram with 4x4GB sticks.

I will also be getting a new case/extra fans as well.

I am fine with my current processor/graphics card at the moment.

Thank you for any help, and is there anything else necessary to upgrade/buy?

PC SPECS

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz

Memory: 8GB

Operating System:Microsoft Windows 8.1 (build 9600), 64-bit

Motherboard: Joshua-H61-uATX

This is the PC which I got in 2013/using now, then just put the GTX 760 in.

Hi there,

On that particular mobo, You can go up to 3770K CPU, if You want less heat output, go after 2600S, or 3770T. You can hit it with up to 16 gigs of ram [DDR3 1333/1600 MHz] 2 x 8 GB modules, and since it has PCi-e x16 2.0, You can hit it up with pretty much any VGA You want, besides those top of the class. So namely, 760 Ti, and my favourite 970. But only with that CPU upgrade.

For CPU, I suggest some solid cooler, if You're lower on budget, go for Gelid Tranquillo Rev 2.0, if You're feeling lucky, get some Noctua.
