To be honest the specs already seem to be 'future proof' (60 fps). Maybe change the cpu, gpu and power supply (if necessary)?

Edit: If you're still gonna use an acer 2560x1440 60hz monitor, i wouldn't bother with upgrading any components til you've gotten a high refresh one (at least a 144hz monitor).

Since your ram is sufficiently fast enough, you could move up to a 3rd gen Ryzen 3700x, or better, and step up to a better graphics card, like a 2070s, or better. Going to a 3rd gen ryzen will help in titles that want more cores/threads, than your 6700k can provide, now and into the future. The 9900k is also an option, but with 10th gen on the horizon, I wouldn't bother. 10th gen looks to just be another refresh of what we already have now, with some more cores slapped on the die. What is the make/model of your power supply?

Fair enough. I would go with an i9 9900k if you'll be using the pc only for gaming. If not ryzen 7 3700x or better should be fine. That'll also mean you'll have to upgrade to a comaptible motherboard. Intel 9th gen cpus are compatible with z390 chipset while the ryzen 3rd gen cpus are comaptible with b450-x570.

So, since you've got a 4k monitor i would at least go with a rtx 2070 super but you'll of course have to lower the settings a bit. If you want to play in max settings (depending on the game) then a 2080 ti should be fine.
