So heres my problem. I'm a complete computer noob and i have a prebuilt desktop i bought years ago. It is the Acer ATC-UC22 with a amd a10 6700and radeon 8670d. I would like to upgrade it to be able to play overwatch and be able to stream league of legends on twitch. What upgrading possibilities do i have. What parts are compatible with my motherboard and What upgrades can i make to my graphics card and other parts to be able to play games and not break the bank?

Solution

drop in a gtx 1050 ti, it demolishes overwatch at 1080p

and is great performance/money

just make sure your power supply has the proper pcie cable for whatever specific card you get, and the case is big enough inside to fit the card

i believe my psu is 200 w. is that enough for the card or will i need to upgrade my psu. i have a apu so will it hold back the graphics card's speed

need to upgrade that first then

apu = cpu + gpu together

when you install a dedicated gpu, the gpu part of the apu is turned off and it functions as a cpu only

a gtx 1050 ti is a fairly good pair with the cpu part of your apu

Solution

I will def consider that, but are there any video cards that are cheaper and can utilize the gpu in my apu that can still play these games?

dont want to do that, CF at the lower end is not worth the hassle

always a stronger single card
