Upgrading Pre-Built PC

Hi, I bought a pre-built pc back in 2014 and I am now thinking about upgrading it.

I was thinking about getting an ssd, upgrading the gpu, psu, case and possibly the motherboard? My problem is with the motherboard the exact model is MS-7826 (Kaili). It's really not a good looking motherboard to have if I was to upgrade my case to one with a glass panel. I've been looking for a replacement but having a hard time finding a decent mobo with an 1150 socket.

Would I be better off leaving the old mobo and getting a case without a glass panel and not have to deal with installing new windows etc.? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Specs:
i7 4770
16 GB DDR3-1600
GTX 660
460w PSU
2TB HDD
MS-7826 (Kaili) MOBO

Since your Win (10?) license is an HP OEM, you would not be allowed to move it to another PC (motherboard) anyway w/o losing activation. So keeping the old board does prevent you from having to buy another win OS. Is this your board?

Make sure the board doesn't use any HP proprietary connections. Special connectors, odd connections like thermal sensors, etc. that a retail case won't have. Being an MSI retail board made for HP, it probably doesn't. The aesthetics of a window/non-window case for that proprietary board I'll have to leave up to you. But I'd probably put it in a non-window case if it were mine.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes that is the board.

I wouldn't mind getting a new license of windows 10 its just that as i said above im having a difficult time finding a good board with the 1150 socket to support my i7 4770.

As for the other option of keeping the board, a windowed case would be nice but this motherboard is green and just ruins the whole look, is there any way i could hide the colour with some rgb lighting or maybe a darker side glass panel?

Im not a big fan of the non windowed cases, if anyone knows any nice closed cases then please do share :) I just find the windowed ones so much nicer.

I just bought a used 1150 board and i5 cpu. I can tell you there is slim pickings for boards as it’s so old. Just get a non windowed case and maybe get some decals if you wanted to make it look better. Or be prepared to look for a long time and pay inflated prices.

That is true and a good thing to do but the i7-4770 is still more than capable in my opinion so if i just got a closed case psu and gpu i should be set for a while. Can anyone recommend any good micro-atx cases with a non-window side panel?

Would my mobo fit inside the Corsair Carbide Series 270R? Only decent looking non-windowed case i have found so far to be honest. I really want to go for something really simple.
