Upgrading Question: BIOS/Drivers?

Good evening all,

So recently I bought a new GPU and CPU. I upgraded to a GTX 960 4gb from a Radeon HD 7850 2gb, and up to an FX-8320 8 core from a Phenom II x4 965 quad core.

The GPU arrived already, waiting 2 days for the CPU before I put them both in.
My question is, how does upgrading a PC for the first time affect my current BIOS and drives? Do I need to delete all the old drives before I put in new parts, do I update the BIOS? I'm confused on this part.

Is there ANYTHING I need to do to my PC before I pull out the old parts and put in the new?

Make sure you update the BIOS to ensure the 8350 will be fine and the mobo will be ready for whatever hardware you may add. Might also want the latest mobo drivers handy on a flash drive to make installing them (if needed) easier

Are you mixing up the term drive with drivers as I have no actual idea what you are actually asking'
