I'm looking to upgrade my Alienware 15 (2015)'s RAM from 8gb to 16gb. This is the ram I picked: http://amzn.com/B00KQCOV5C

I also want to add a SSD, I opened up my laptop and I'm pretty sure its a M.2 SATA slot. This is the SSD I picked: http://amzn.com/B00TGIVZTW

I have a fairly small budget and I would like to keep the prices around that. I am in Canada but for some reason I have a gift card balance on Amazon.com so I'm ordering from there. I just wanted to double check to make sure that the SSD and RAM was compatible with my laptop.

Thanks,
vaxx

According to this link here http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Alienware/alienware-15-r2 , your laptop uses DDR4 and can run it at either 2133MHz or 2400MHz, so I would suggest the parts in this link here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/trKdjX

Please be aware that there are multiple variants of the Alienware 15, so I just assumed that you had the laptop in this link here http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-15-r2/pd , if I'm wrong then please post back before purchasing incompatible parts

Probably will be better than the 8gb I currently have. The order might not go through so do you have any other recommendations (preferably on Amazon.com) that isn't too expensive?

It looks better but unfortunately doesn't ship to Canada :( I think I'm going to stick with the one I picked because it ships to Canada, its 20$ cheaper and it still a step-up from my current RAM. Thanks for the help though :)

I'm going to keep my options open though since I ordered with a prepaid mastercard the order could be cancelled. I also found this ram that I thought might be good as well? Anyways, if the order gets cancelled I'll probably spend the extra $20 and get faster ram. http://amzn.com/B00FMRV7R6

I'll stay clear of them, don't want to have to ship it back to the US if it doesn't work.
