Hi, my name is Joyce. I hope my english will be ok to explain the problem.

I had for 5 years 4gb rams (2x2gb) working perfectly then I decided to upgrade them to 8gb (2x4gb) so I bought firstly HyperX Fury Blue 2x4gb but my os windows 7 didn't boot, so I change the ram with the corsair vengeance (cml8gx3m2a1600c9) and mounted them on the same slots of the 2x2gb. But the operating system is still not running. If I mount 2x2gb it works.

Bios recognize 8gb (2x4gb) but at 1333 and not 1600. What can I do? New ram and Mobo seem to be compatible, but it doesn't work for me. I tried changing some voltage values (1.5v, 1.66v) and some moltiplicator that actually shows 1600 on bios but the it continuosly turn off and on and off and on until I get off motherboard's battery and start again my trial.

Motherboard: gigabyte h57m-usb3
Slot RAM availabe 4 DDR3 DIMM
BIOS Ver: f8
Graphic: Sapphire
Cpu Model: intel core i5 661, 2133 MHz (16 x 133)
Operation System: Win 7 64-bit sp1
Ram Brand: Corsair cml8gx3m2a1600c9
Size: 2x4gb
Power Supply: 350w

When I set bios default the frequency is 1333 (it recognize 8gb at 1333) but the system boot doesn't go on.
With a single module it continuosly turn off and on, but however i didn't try bios setting with a single module because I already have 4gb (2x2gb).

There is maybe a combination of voltage/moltiplicator that works? I am trying following some similar experience on this and other forums but no one have my same mobo and ram.

I asked to Gigabyte support one week ago, no answer yet. Now I try Corsair.
I suppose you can't help me with manual bios settings, thank you anyway!

Here the conversation with CORSAIR support.

The first generation i5 processors support memory modules using IC density up to 2Gb. Our CML8GX3M2A1600C9* is based on a higher density, 4Gb IC, which explains the issue you are experiencing. The best kit for your system is our CMX8GX3M2B1333C9.

2Gb IC, 8 chips (referred to as single rank) = 2GB module
2Gb IC, 16 chips (referred to as dual rank) = 4GB (CMX8GX3M2B1333C9)
4Gb IC, 8 chips = 4GB*
4Gb IC, 16 chips = 8GB

Dear Justin,
thank you very much for your support. Today it's arrived the kit you suggested and it works fine.
Really thank you.
