I have: GPU : Gtx 660
CPU: i5 3570 @ 3.4GHz (non k)
RAM: 8gb ddr3 @ 668MHz
MoBo: Asus P8Z77-M
Monitor: Samsung 1600x900 20', don't know the exact name.

All prices are converted to US$ to easily understand I have about 700-750$
(converted php currency to us$) to use.
I'm planning to buy:
-GPU: https://www.asus.com/ph/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-GTX1060-O6G/ = For about 365$
-CPU: I found an i7 4970k for about 245$. Is this a good deal? Should i upgrade my cpu to this one or are there any other cheap but good and compatible with my MoBo & GPU, cpus?
-RAM: Should i upgrade?
-Monitor: I'm looking for a 24' 144 hz monitor but a lower one is okay too.

Thanks!

So, reviewing your current rig and the upgrades you've been thinking about, this is what I'm thinking.

I would tell you to upgrade your MOBO to a newer socket type and get a newer CPU because it would be much better for your, and the CPU would be around the same price as the 4970k. Then a new problem arises, you are running DDR3 RAM and don't have the budget to upgrade.

With that said, if you really wanted to upgrade right now with your current budget, I would buy that 1060, and that CPU. With whatever you have left, I guess you could upgrade your monitor.

If you want to know what I would do, I would save a bit more money so you can upgrade your RAM, CPU, and MOBO at the same time to newer parts than the one's you are currently...

If you buy now, you're still going to be behind specs wise and kinda a waste of money because if you wanted to upgrade again, you would have to spend the extra cash to get newer parts. So, wait a little more, save some more money, and buy RAM, GPU, CPU, and MOBO all at the same time. DON'T BUY THE 1060 NOW, YOUR CPU WOULD BOTTLENECK AND YOU WOULD SEE NO PERFORMANCE INCREASE.

I guess i'll save it for now, and wait til the gpu's prices drop. Although by the way, the CPU is a deal i saw near my place and it's brand new, should buy the i7 4970k for 245-250$ish in my country? I'm from philippines so i just converted the price to usd so you can compare. I have no knowledge in pc parts, so i really appreciate your help!

No, I wouldn't buy the processor. Although it is a good deal, you would be buying a processor with an 1150 socket type. So, when you want to upgrade to 1151 socket type you have to buy a new processor. 1150 is outdated and pointless with everything out now, so just wait until you have enough to buy that 1060, a new MOBO with CPU, and some DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. You will be glad you waited.

@core0
You're right, i'll save more money for now :).
What's a good cpu for a gtx 1060 6gb? Will my 5 year old i5 3570 bottleneck the 1060 or is it enough?

I mean, if you are saving your money I would buy a new processor or mobo. Are you open to buying Ryzen instead of Intel? Very good CPU's for low price. What is your budget?

I have about 700$ for the CPU, MoBo, Ram, GPU. I have no experience with ryzen. What do you think should i do first?
