HI,
I have currently I3 6100 , 8GB ddr 2133 , Asus H110mk , ssd 128 , 3 tb hard disk , gaming casing with supply and Gtx 1060 6gb zotac. with 1080p lcd @60hz.

i want to upgrade i have 450$ budget currently but it can be increased if necessary..
i want to play games at 1080p with max ultra high settings all titles that are upcoming and are currently present... i3 has been performing well for almost 70% games but some are stuttering badly like Forza horizon 3 , Gta 5 , Watchdogs 2 , Assasins creed origin, Ghost recon wildlands and any similar games at max settings......

Question:
1 ) Do i sell gtx 1060 and buy 1080 or 1070 for smooth gaming @ 60 fps?
2 ) Or Do i upgrade my processor to i5 8100 or 8400 ?
3 ) Will used i3 3570 or 4670k would be enough for 1080p 60fps in mentioned titles?
4 ) Or do i wait for 2080 and 2070 new generation cards to show up and buy those?
5) Do i sell i3 processor and mobo only and keep the ram and use it on 8th gen will it work its 2133 mhz ddr 4?

in my country used 4670k with unlocked mobo and 8gb ddr 3 ram with cooler is coming for 270$ And intel 8400 with z370 asus and 8gb ddr 4 2666 for 450.........

The 8400 package is a good deal @$270. But your existing 2133 ram might...
You might do that later. However GTX 1060 is perfectly capable of 1080p with high settings.

This will require change of motherboard. Not a very efficient move.

Again - this will require change of motherboard and ram. Not a very efficient move.

You might, if you want to get 1440p or 4k monitor.

There are better options available.

First - upgrade ram to 16GB. Low amount of ram is the most likely cause of your issues.

Only after that you should consider cpu upgrade. i5-6600(k) or i5-7600(k) is the obvious choice (i7-6700(k) or i7-7700(k) would be another option). This will not require any hassle with changing motherboard and OS re-installation. 7-series cpu may require BIOS update first.

Your motherboard supports both 6th and 7th gen CPUs

go for a 7th gen I5 + 16gb ddr4 2400 ram upgrade if you can afford to do so.

well i watched some videos showing i7 4th gen beating i3 6100 in so many games as it is 4 cores 4 threads so thats why i thought to go for lower to save money and have speed ..
combo for 4th gen i5 4670k with unlocked mobo 8 gb ram and cooler coming for 277 $ in my country

8 gb 2400 ddr 4 is coming for 93 $ i have currently 8gb 2133 mhz ddr4 corsair will those both work in same pc as they have change speed or do i have to sell my ram and buy two of those 2400mhz ram?

the problem with 6th gen and 7th gen processor in my country is they have only be reduced by max 30 $ ... so are those still viable option?
so 6600k available for 170$ how good will that be ?

alright thx i will keep bios update for 7th gen cpu.

The 8400 package is a good deal @$270. But your existing 2133 ram might not perform optimally. Coffeelake is optimized with 2666mhz and above, as per Intel. You might have to consider that factor as well.
Whereas with a 6700/k or 7700/k, it should work fine and you dont need to change the motherboard as well.
Keep these things in mind and then look out for appropriate deals as per your budget.

Greetings sorry for jumping on this post but I would like to ask, I'm using a lenovo board with a i3 6100 cpu, I tried to upgrade to i5 7th gen but it didn't work, what could be the reason

Will it maybe work if I get a i5/i7 as long as it's a 6th gen?

Start a thread with your full specs and a detailed history of this upgrade. Do not simply append a post to a solved post from nearly four years ago.
