[SOLVED] Upgrading this System with a 400-800 Euro Budget

Hi, I recently decided I want to upgrade my PC with more up-to-date parts.

I want to play newer games with medium to high graphics and not worry about lag spikes and at least a 60-frame rate.

I also want a better motherboard that supports M.2 as I have one and cannot install it on my current motherboard. A computer case with nice RGB colors would also be nice as the one I have currently is a bit bland.

I would mainly want to upgrade the GPU and CPU as 16GB of ram is enough for me. The budget isn't too particular as I'm not sure how much this would cost but it's flexible enough.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm not sure what the best parts to buy with this budget would be and what I would need to also upgrade alongside such as the power supply or other components.

There is no way to update this system that makes sense on any level of spending. You need to consider a new system, and that isn't going to happen at the performance level you state with said budget.

There is some room for improvement, but a mid-range GPU is going to eat half your Maximum budget.

Could maybe keep the PSU and the SATA SSD and case, everything else pretty much has to go.

You'll need DDR4. Look for a set of DDR4-3200MHz.

Okay, for the processor, I found an Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor at 12 cores with 4ghz speed. Would that be okay with every other part being the same?

That cpu will work fine in either a B660 or B760 board.
