Looking to upgrade to 16GB DDR3 (2x8) since I've been recently capping out on memory.

What's the most popular brand/model these days?

I was thinking:

1) Hyper X Fury: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104467&cm_re=hyper_x_fury-_-20-104-467-_-Product
2) G.Skill Ripjaws X: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489&cm_re=G.SKILL_Ripjaws_X_Series_16GB_%282_x_8GB%29_240-Pin_DDR3_SDRAM_DDR3_1600_%28PC3_12800%29_Desktop_Memory_Model_F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL-_-20-231-489-_-Product
3) G.Skill Snipers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231609&cm_re=g.skill_snipers-_-20-231-609-_-Product
4) Corsair Vengeance LP: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233280&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Which one would be the "best" pick? I'm currently leaning towards the Ripjaws because I use a 2x4 Ripjaws right now.

Solution
If your BIOS has the option to enable XMP profile, you should do that (wouldn't have to change any memory settings yourself then). If not, then you should be fine with the settings you've already changed.
In my last build I went with G.Skill Sniper, in my current build I've gone with G.Skill Ripjaws. Loved them both times, and I've put the brand in 2 other PCs that I've built. Very stable, very fast RAM. Great pricing to boot.

I did buy Corsair Vengeance once, and I never will again. The heat spreader on one of the sticks was loose and wouldn't go into place no matter what I tried. Corsair basically called me a liar when I contacted their customer service and refused to replace it or even help further.

They'll all perform the same outside of benchmarks. In theory some models may be better overclockers than others if you're interested in that (will need a mobo that supports memory overclocking), but I feel like it'd be largely luck of the draw. Fury and Vengeance are low profile, which can be handy in avoiding clearance issues with aftermarket CPU coolers. Depending on your mobo, you may not be able to actually run the Fury sticks at 1866 MHz.

So I went ahead and bought the Ripjaws X.

To make sure I'm setting this up all correctly:

I went into the BIOS and changed:
1) CL -> 10/10/10/30
2) DRAM -> 1600
3) Voltage -> 1.5V
^ above are based on the packaging.

Is there anything else I would need to change specifically? Currently everything else is set at "Auto".
