Hello gentlemen, after years of service my old PC is starting to slow down and under-perform on recent games, nothing too serious but I'd like to step up and build an entry-level gaming PC. Since I cannot afford to buy everything in one go I'll start with the graphic card. I was thinking about a GTX950 but my question is, is it compatible with my MoBo, is it worth over a GTX750Ti (Second option)? Right now I have this hardware setup :
CPU : Intel Q6600 2.4 Ghz
MoBo : Asus P5G41-M LE
PSU : Stock 400W
RAM : 4Gb
GPU : GeForce 8800GTS
I know the GTX750Ti doesn't have problems on MoBos with PCIe 1.0, is it the same for the GTX950? (I'm fully aware that I'll go against bottleneck problems with the MoBo and CPU but since I'll upgrade those in the near future I don't mind getting lower performances for a while) I know my PSU won't be enough so I'll just buy a new one, any advice? I'd like to stay on a 200€ budget for both GPU and PSU
Thanks in advance, take care!
