Upgrading to i7 7700k on MSI z170a M5 mother board

Would I need to update bios in order for this CPU to work? Or would this z170 board mobo pick it up right away? I bought a 6700k and havent even installed it yet. I figured i might as well pony up the additional 10$ and exchange it for the newer CPU.

It looks like you need v 1H per this compatibility list:

It actually isn't very clear though so not sure if you have to have that version for it to work. What version of BIOS are you on?

if MSI did release support for that mobo for 7th gen CPU's then yes. if you drop the CPU in that board without updating to a version of the BIOS that supports it then it will not boot
