You can see my current parts in my signature. I'm going to have to replace some when upgrading the CPU.
I'm curious as to what RAM and motherboard I should get along with the Ryzen 7?
Budget isn't really an issue.

DDR RAM is 'double data rate'. So what CPU-Z is reporting is half of what it seems to be, ie. 2133MHz. Minor terminology difference as it were.

To run at 3200MHz is, technically, overclocking it. Those options should be in the BIOS and usually XMP profiles, I believe. Others can be more specific but that would be a starting point.
I would start off with gskills flare-X 3200 since its certified with AMD boards to work out of the box by setting the XMP profile.

The "ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO", "Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K7" and "MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM" are my favorite x370 motherboards and all are on the QVL list for the Flare-X memory.

I personally have the 3200 Flare-x paired with the Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K7.

i dont own a ryzen 7 but i do own a ryzen 5 with the asus crosshair 6 hero mainboard and have it paired with corsair vengeance lpx 3200mhz ram and it all works. the mainboard is fantastic from my expierence. so many things to thinker with in the bios meniu... and if you want a really stable oc on the ryzen you should not go cheap on the mainboard that is my advice. my friend went for the asrock ab350 pro4 and he only gets his ryzen 5 1600x to only 3.8ghz with 1.4v as i have the same cpu i got it to 4ghz with only 1.375v and ram running stable on 3200mhz. Ryzen does love good ram and mainboard combo :)

That series goes back a few years. If it is over 5 years old then I personally would get a new PSU, if its fairly recent then it will be perfectly fine wattage wise.

That is a good board. The overclock likely is just CPU lottery more than anything as Ryzen realistically doesn't go over 4.1Ghz without some really nice cooling so you aren't pushing things to hard on the motherboard.

I'd probably avoid the MSI Titanium, it's a decent board for the money but the Asrock X370 Taichi that I have is $60 cheaper and it's one of the better boards on the market.

for me it was this board or the asrock taichi both of them are good mainboards. people say the gigabyte k7 is also not bad

thanks for all the input. i'm still shopping around though. the ram suggested isnt available in my region for a realistic price.
any ideas on what PSU to pick up? That Corsair is in fact about 5+ years old.

Hey there, thanks for all the replies.

I finally placed my order and I hope the RAM is correct as I couldn't find the suggested ones in this country.

Ryzen 7 1700x Processor
Gskill F4 3200 °C16D 32GVK Memory D4 3200 32GB
Corsair RM750i Power Supply Unit
Samsung SAM 850 Pro 512GB 2.5 inch SATA III Solid State Drive

I currently have a CORSAIR Hydro H70 CWCH70 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler and was wondering if this is going to work with the Ryzen? If not, any suggestions on what to replace it with
