Hi all,

I am in the process to upgrade my DC from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003.
I have actually an Exchange 2000 Organisation that I would like also to
upgrade from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003.

My question is : What is the best way to do so.
First upgrade the Exchange organisation from 2000 to 2003 and later upgrade
AD from 2000 to 2003 or the opposite to upgrade fisrt AD and second Exchange
organisation ?

Thanks for your replies.

Xavier.

Upgrade Windows first, there are features in Exchange 2003 that are not
available unless Exchange is running on Win2k3.

But, in following this advice, ensure that you fix the mangled attributes
issue first.

There's a KB on how to do this.

I don't think Exchange 2000 will run on Windows Server 2003.

If there's so few machines that we're talking about upgrading a DC that also
holds Exchange 2000, then the poster's going to have to rethink his plan...

Hello Xavier,

You would need to upgrade first the Exch2000 to Exch2003. Then later you
would upgrade Win2000 to Win2003.

Thanks,

Marlon
