Upload / Download Speed Slow

Quick question,
So I upgraded my internet to 30mbps download and 5mbps upload but the current speeds show 20mbps download and 2mbps upload it appears to be capped. Do I need a new router/modem or is there something I can do, they are probably 2-3 years old?

Try measuring on a wired connection.

Try to contact your internet service provider about change in plan and confirm it have changed or not. I think router is not having any issue.

Update: Wired connection gave similar numbers 20mbps download and 2mbps upload.

Update: Wired connection gave similar numbers 20mbps download and 2mbps upload.

Try unplugging your modem and router for 2 minutes. Then plug them back in.
If that doesn't work, contact your ISP provider. Most likely they will provide you with a new modem or fix your issue else how.

Try by-passing your router
