My specs are :

AMD FX 6300 ---- CPU

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 ------- MOBO

CORSAIR CX500 ----------- PSU

SAPPHIRE R9 270X 4GB --------- GPU

ADATA 1600 MHZ 8GB ---- RAM

SEAGATE BARRACUDE 1 TB ---- HDD

CRUCIAL BX 100 ------ SSD

2 CASE FANS AND 1 WLAN CARD

THE UPS I AM USING IS CYBERPOWER BU1000E

The ups is 1000 VA and the power supply is 500w, still as soon as i remove the plug from the wall outlet and with the pc turned on, the ups just gives in and shuts down. What seems to be the problem???

Hi
Thats a tier 4 power supply so it is pretty poor and will be inefficient probably no more than 65% so a 400 W load will mean it will draw about 600W and so may be overloading the UPS.
My advice would be to get a new power supply that is more efficient like an 80+ one preferably one from tier 1 or 2 from this list ; http://

No there were no instructions for that. It was just one unit and the ups provides backup sometimes like 2 out of 5 times that too when am just using youtube or something. So that means batteries are there.

Really a shame that a 1000 VA ups cant support a 500 w pc. Maybe my unit was the faulty one
