UPS

UPS sux ass. They are one of the worst shipping companies. Do not send computer components through UPS.

What would be an alternative to UPS, though? I mean, what else is there? FedEx, USPS... *sigh*

Only thing I hate is that if they miss a delivery, the appox. times of next attempts are as follows:
·Before 10:30
·10:30 - 2:00
·2:00 - 5:00
·After 5:00

Gimme a break! 3 hour gaps!?! Am I supposed to wait 3 hours??? Brutal...

UPS's policy is to deny 90% of insurance claims (even if they are valid) and then if you feel you got gipped you can enter it again. Only about 15% of people enter the claims again. It's just a way they make money.

No wonder Newegg defaults shipping with FedEx. I'll be sure to take that in mind in the future.

BTW, I got my sound card today. Ya know how they estimated coming between 2:00-5:00? They came at 5:06 (using online tracking to check it - very disappointing). I wasn't home, and they delivered to my neighbor, but still...

LOL UPS delivered my nic card to the wrong address. After calling them about 4 times, D-Link calling them also, they told me that I should go over to the place they sent it and get it. I told the woman that I don't think it should be done like that and they should pick it up and deliver it. She told me to do that they would have to charge me a fee for pickup and delivery. I asked her if she is for real or on drugs? Told her that it's UPS's fault that I don't have the product, she told me no it's not, D-Link gave them the wrong address most likely. D-Link told me they got the right address on the package. Anyway, after a month of fighting with UPS they sent somebody over to get my package from the wrong address and deliver it to me (yeah free, my a$$ I pay for them morons not able to read).

Package got the right address on it, delivery woman was just too dumb to deliver it to the right house.

PS, D-Link sent me another card overnight after I told them what's going on (a few days after I should have received the first card), and rep told me to keep the other card too if I ever receive it. UPS called me 3 times after they managed to deliver the first card to make sure I received the package.

I still can't believe what those people told me on the phone. Go pick it up myself, pay extra to have it delivered to the right address.
