Last week i built my first computer and it worked for about 2 days. But the next day when i woke up it would not turn on. i tried the screwdriver trick and all but nothing would happen. i also used the paperclip trick for my psu which is a seasonic fully modular 660w 80 plus platinum and it was working. I replaced my motherboard to a asrock z77 extreme 4 and it worked for a day then stoped. When i flick my power supply on my gpu lights turn on but i can turn the computer on! im very frustrated WHAT IS HAPPENING? is my psu killing my motherboards? please help.

Solution

SSD on SATA3_0

HDD on SATA3_1

Optical Drive on SATA2_2

These SATA ports should all be on the Intel Z77 chipset.

SATA3_A0 and SATA3_A1 are on the ASMedia ASM1061 SATA controller chip.
