So I have a drive that I was using for my boot and storage. I just put Windows on my SSD and now I need to know how to have everything that I had on my HD's desktop on to the new SSD's desktop. I could just reinstall everything but I have 700 Gbs used and that would take a LONG time. Also, I can't just load my applications, I assume I have to re-download them. I need major help!

Solution

Applications WILL need to be reinstalled. There is no way around this.
Games....create a new top level folder on one of the drives. Preferably NOT the one that has the old WIn 8 install
Copy your SteamApps folder to that folder
In the new Steam clinet you install with the new OS, designate that folder you just created as an install location.
I'm sorry for this question being confusing, I didn't know how to explain it. So my SSD only has my OS (I did a clean install for Windows 10), my hard drive has Windows 8 and all my other files. The problem is that now that I boot from my SSD I don't have any files or my desktop readily available. So I just need help getting my files and desktop to work for my SSD.

Specs:
250 gb Samsung evo SSD
2x 1 tb WD Black Drives

600 gbs of games (about)
The 1tb drive with Windows 8 has 250 gbs left
the other 1tb drive is basically empty, I can delete whatever is on there
