[SOLVED] Urgent. Shutting down during windows installation

I did a reset on windows, and my screen went black when it was installing windows even though the cpu is still lit up. Can I shut down my cpu? I do not have the installation disk.

Give the power button a single short press and see if the system will shut down on it's own. A good sign would be if the HDD activity light starts flashing away or turns on solid. If ater 5-10 minutes nothing happens, hold the power button in for 6 seconds and it will force the PSU to shut off. I do not recommend forcing the PSU off if the HDD light is flashing as it can damage mechanical drives.
