Recently, my windows crashed two times, and it wasn't able to boot correctly afterwards. The frist time, I was able to do windows refresh to fix the problem. The second time, (today) I tried Window refresh, safe boot, automatic repair but not avail. System restore gave me an error that they cannot find the file they need. I urgently need a file on my computer by the end of Monday. I do have a secondary mechanical 1 TB drive, and my SSD is currently at 90gb/ 120gb, so its not full.

I got 2 options right now. I can either plug in my SSD into my Mac to retrieve my files, and clean instal windows on the SSD.

OR

I can get a new SSD (Samsung Evo 840 120gb, $80 on amazon w/ prime 2 days shipping) for ship and receive by Monday afternoon. Slap a OS on it, and get my files from my old SSD. After, I can clean them, and do a raid 0 config.

I'm kindly asking for opinions. If getting an SSD and doing an raid 0 right now is worth it.

Thanks!

Unless you want an excuse to buy a new SSD, plugging it in to your Mac and pulling the data off should work just fine. That is of course assuming the file table hasn't been buggered up. Tho unless your dealing with an older MacPro tower you'll need to get an external enclosure and plug it in via a USB port. Simple to do either way.
