URL Link with extra code on the end of it

I recently received a link from someone I don't trust that had on the end of the URL link the word Embed, some symbols like / = ... I don't remember in which order as I didn't copy it at the time. Is it possible to send something harmful to someone using a method such as this ... with this appearance as I described? It was a link to a video about fracking on youtube i think.

Any thoughts or am I just being paranoid?

Embeded in YouTube means the link came from an embeded player like you'd see on a non-youtube page that links a small window with a player back to YouTube's site. If some-one copies that URL, it will show up with embeded.

But scanning it is a good idea anyway.
