USB 1.0 cable connected to USB 2.0 pins

It should work, the headers didn't change between 1 and 2.0. There were slightly different implementations of the pin layouts, but with any luck that won't be an issue.

Also, *if* it works (and it should), you should see 2.0 speeds. The limitation is the motherboard header, the wiring & ports are the same...... so if you're connected to a 2.0 header, you have USB 2.0 (and the speed).
