USB 2.0 to 3.0 Converter Cable

Hi there i was wondering about something, if i get a converter cable that connects to my mobo and then i connect the header of my usb 3.0 hub to it, will i get the speed of the 3.0 or still 2.0? Since there are no connections for 3.0 on my mobo. I was planning on getting this cable for it.

Yeah that's what happened i guess. I have 2 usb 3.0 ports with my case but not on the mobo. So i need to a PCI-E usb 3.0 card isn't it?

If you want to use the 3.0 ports then yes and you will need one with the USB 3.0 internal header.

Oh thank you very much. Any chance of having the same thing for cheaper please? I don't need all those ports, 2 would be fine for my budget pc.

Thank you, I got one from Ebay for about 6$ with 2 ports and a header for the front panel too.
