USB 2.0 to male USB 2.0 connection

I want to be able to hook up my Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler but if I want to hook up the smart connect I need a USB 2 connection on my motherboard I don't have one so I need a way to connect that without using a 3.0 to 2.0 conversion because I want to keep my front IO working is there a USB type A to USB 2.0 header I can buy somewhere

Some phone charging cables use type a to type c, you can probably find one at your local electronics store.

No what I really need to know is if the corsair link will work with a mini USB to USB type A

As long as it's plugged into right ports, all USB2 cables will connect, The only difference in the size of plugs.
