hooked up adapter to old sata hard drive,plugged in usb cable,computed loaded drivers,come up as drive E with how much used and free space on drive.problem is the only files that show up are the same files that are on my computers C drive.don't know what i'm doing wrong.thanks for any help,marty.

If that old drive is the main (C drive) drive from another computer, it will look pretty much the same as far as how much space is full and what files and folders you're seeing, if you want to use it for something else, just take what you need off of it and format it.
