Hello.

For the last few months, I have had a problem with getting my USB 2.0 ports to work properly. My old PSU finally kicked the bucket a few months back also and I replaced it with a much newer one for a low cost. Everything was fine for a few days until randomly my USB 2.0 ports stopped working. I have been trying many things that other websites have been suggesting me such as running memory tests, registry tests, checking hardware manager, resetting CMOS, and checking for new drivers. I would like to exhaust all my options in case my Mobo ports really are dead so I don't jump the gun in case it's still a driver issue. Several of my devices in Hardware Manager show up as not connected and provide me with a Code 45 error (device not connected) which I haven't gained much knowledge on what causes this error. I have not changed any cables inside my PC except exchanging the old PSU with the new PSU. Everything else runs fine except for the ports. I have been using it only to do work because gaming is a bit of a nuisance to do with no headset. I will provide a list of specs down below in order to speed up this process.

CPU: AMD FX 8350
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 6.0
Ram: 2 4GB DDR3 G.Skill
SSD/HDD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250gb/ TOSHIBA Dt01ACA1000 1tb
GPU: GTX 1060 3gb
PSU: Corsair VS650
Chassis: LEPA Smok Series LPC309(U3) Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
OS: Windows 10 64bit

PSS: I believe there might also be some controllers missing from my Device Manager list if anyone can confirm or deny I would greatly appreciate it, my knowledge on what controllers and such I require is lacking. Thank you.

SB7xx all had same usb driver
there was just difference with raid, sata, fsb clock (for overclocking)

just to be sure
go to device manager -> universal serial bus controllers -> double click on that usb here which has issue-> click on details page -> under property select hardware Ids
copy paste text from first row here
then click on events page -> view all events
new window will open (event viewer)
on left side right click on custom views -> device manager - whatever name it is, and select export custom view
it will be saved in XML format, upload it here

I am a novice techy with computers from as far back as speak & spell days. With that said, I have had similar issues and found that when I go to update drivers it will firstly have the option blocked. So I enter again through the same screen/window that I'm on and then it gives me the option to update. I then have it check internet and I stall directly. Just is weird that I would have to go into a window then run in circles seemingly to get the system to finally let me do update drivers and accept. "Like that last level in Super Mario Bros. in Bowser's Castle! HahA." Sorry for that. Hope it may help ya.

The 760G driver on AMD's site may include drivers for the south bridge.
I glanced at my BIOS screen and I saw that "SMBus" controller came up as NA but it seems that the only AMD SMBus driver I can find with the 760G chipset isnt compatible with Windows 10, not sure if there are other ones out there that would work but it seems like its time to upgrade.

Noticed something that could be useful, I have no recollection of what was connected where onto my motherboard when I replaced my PSU but I noticed that there are no connections being made onto the F_USB2 or F_USB1. Only USB 3.0 is connected (Guessing this is why only my 3.0s work as the drivers for the other ones are installed) Could be obvious to someone who is adept in building PCS, but that would not be me.

My old PSU was a COUGAR SL 600 and my new one is a Corsair VS650

Thanks for any information.

F_USB2 and F_USB1 are used if your PC case has any front panel USB 2.0 ports, that is where you plug them in.

Hello. When I'm looking at Hardware LDS I get 2 entries. This is for my device "VIA USB 2.0 HUB"
VUSB\VID_2109&PID_3431&REV_0420
VUSB\VID_2109&PID_3431

and I will attach the other file

Also, I have a USB 3.0 Root Hub which is also having the same problem, would you like for me to provide that as well?

All the drivers are updated for the USBs as far as I know, but they come up as not connected even though I haven't specifically changed anything as far as connections go.

I have the same issue, how do I install the drivers in the zip you forvid3ed?
through device manager, right click usb -> update driver -> browse my computer for drivers -> then browse to place where you extracted that zip file
if it doesnt find any valid driver, either driver not combatible with your usb controller, or WDM (windows driver model) version is not supported
