So, I got a 3.2 USB-C to USB-C cable (20gbps transfer rate) and I want to connect it to my pc that does not have any 3.2 usb-c ports.

My question is, do I need a 3.2 usb-c to usb-a adapter to have a 20gbps transfer rate or will any 3.0 or better adapter do?

Solution
The speed will be at the lowest component, keep the adapters spec to the speed you are looking for, using a cable or adapter faster than your slowest link won't cause any issues.

Ok, so that was what I was thinking, I need an adapter that can handle that transfer rate otherwise it'll be slower or not work at all, thank you!
