USB 3.0 Headers- Repurcussions

I'm looking at a couple of motherboards for my build, and have whittled it down to two- The cheaper of the two has good reviews all round, but has no USB 3.0 ports. The other does, but the reviews are a bit up and down.
If I were to go for the cheaper of the two, how would this affect the overall build? How would it limit me?
What I'm really asking is, what do USB 3.0 ports have over 2.0?

Sorry, I should be clearer- what I'm asking is what USB 3.0 has over 2.0. Is there a huge, game changing difference?

With usb 3 flash/hard drives USB 3 is about 4 times faster

I wouldn't personally buy a board without usb3 as I use external drive a lot.if you don't it won't affect you.

If the board has a spare pci-express x1 slot you can always add a USB 3 card at a later date.
