My new monitor (Gigabyte M27Q) came with a USB 3.0 Male A to Male B cable and I'm not sure what it's for. The documents that came in the box only show an image that shows the cable running from the monitor to the PC but not in any sort of detail. I have several questions about this cable.
What does it do?
Is it for the KVM switch to work?
Does it plug into the motherboard I/O, or "any" USB 3.0 port on the PC?
Do I need to use it at all?
