[SOLVED] USB 3.0 ports not working for some reason ?

None of my usb 3.0 ports are working, they used to work some time ago but now they don't and only my usb 2.0 ports work. this is for my front and back usb ports on my pc.
Specs
is a prebuilt optiplex 9010 mt (the biggest version)
windows 10 pro
i7 3770
16gb ddr3
dell om9kcm motherboard.
all wires are in place
also i just did a windows 10 install and before the usb 3.0 worked now not.

Then obtain a new USB drive. They're cheap.

I just realised something, I got a usb 3.0 drive and I put it in the usb 3.0 port and it worked! turned out usb 2.0 will not work in usb 3.0 ports for some reason and I had just wasted all my time on nothing.
