Hello, I've noticed none of my USB 3.0 ports front or back seem to be running at full speed. I only noticed this issue because I've been running into problems with my netgear adapter which requires usb 3.0. I have updated my bios to the latest version 1802. tried uninstalling the intel controller and restarting. (I couldn't find a driver on intels site for windows 10 64bit). Some relevant screenshots attached showing the device and ports in question.

I don't know what else to try, any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Did you use the drivers listed under Chipset, on their support site;
?

What OS version are you on(assuming you're on Windows 10)? You should try installing your drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator. Do the same for the wireless adapter after sourcing them from this site;
https://www.netgear.com/support/download/?model=A7000

See if that helps.

Thank you! Yes I am using windows 10 64 bit. I had the chipset drivers installed already but I just tried reinstalling everything as Administrator and it hasn't made a difference :/ Everything seems to be connected properly on the board although it shouldn't even make a difference to the back panel right? Are there any BIOS settings I can check? the usb config section is pretty basic, all the settings just seem to be legacy support toggles

Also, Im not sure if its relevant or not but since updating my BIOS I can only boot with xmp enabled. If I try to disable to this I get a post error.

Just noticed this on USB Tree Viewer. Ports 17-26 support USB3.0 but I have no idea what these could be? They definitely aren't a physical port and im fairly certain I have no empty usb headers left on the motherboard, definitely not 9 anyway. strange.

Fixed it! Turns out I disabled a service awhile back 'RunSwUsb.exe ' which switches between usb 3.0 and usb 2.0, disabling this forces it into 2.0 at all times. Re-enabling this service and disabling power management for the device seems to have fixed all my problems.
