I want to put a usb 3.0 card to my old pc but i have a problem.
Usb 3.0 cards have pci-e x1 gen 2 slot, but my motherboard has only x16 gen 1 slot.
Is it compatible or not?

Solution
Yes but you wont be able to get full speed from the usb3 slots, not that there are many usb3 devices that could saturate a pcie gen1 lane. LoL
USB3 is 500+MB/s (depending on the exact version you get) and a single gen1 pcie lane is 250MB/s
