USB 3.0 transfer speed

I have been battling with an external drive connect/disconnect issue, USB 3.0 components. An internet search reveals many similar issues, with one surefire solution.
The enclosure works fine when plugged into a powered USB hub. (Mine is USB 2 but it works...30+ MB/s speeds)
But, it does not stay connected when plugged into the (either of 2) front ports (USB 3.0 header on mobo) on my Corsair 200R case. (Asus P8z77VLK mobo)
Seems to work when plugged into a rear port though...go figure.
Attached a pic of ATTO results when lined in through a rear port. Please tell me if these are acceptable figures.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB - usb3.0 is 5.0 Gbit/s = 625MB/s

Hard drives normally run at 100-150MB/s
