USB 3.1 Doesn't Detect Any Devices

That is my build and the problem is that every single USB works except those two. Yeah, they provide power, but for some damn reason it does not detect any of my devices. BIOS is up to date and I've checked every single driver for each of the USB port in device manager. Is the Z97-A just not a reliable mobo? Should I purchase a new one?

um...which two? You mention 3.1 but do you mean on the rear panel? The front panel? On a header somewhere mid-board? If I'm looking at the User Manual correctly (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/C1+ViAQZCjS.pdf), that board has only USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports/headers.

Well, I was talking about the mobo so I assumed it was a given that it's the two in the rear. Those are the only 3.1 USB either way. The rest are either 3.0 or 2.0
