USB 3.1 (gaming) mouse

Hello,
I have recently bought an HP Omen gaming laptop and it has only USB 3.1 ports and my old wireless mouse won't fit in. I wonder what kind of mouse would definitely fit, because on almost all websites the USB type of the mice aren't told and I wouldn't like to get a mouse which won't fit. Also, my budget is around 30-40 bucks and the wireless aspect of the new mouse is secondary, I'd rather get a gaming one. Thanks in advance!

Usb 3.1 is backwards compatible.

Current mouse should fit.

If you mean usb c - which is a new connector standard more than anything else.

You can get adapter cables for that.

Any omen laptop I've seen though has at least 2 standard usb style ports as well as usb-c.

Thank you, it really does fit and apparently I didn't want to force it too much! Btw my model is AN006NQ and it does have three 3.1 ports and no 2.0.
