USB as page file (WinToUSB)

No of fence to those who mean to help, but if you say "this isn't going to help" I'm gonna find you and give you my laptop with no pagefiling or anything ...

Now after my minirant I want to say I have a 8Gb HP flash drive that I want to use as my page file for windows since I do not have a hard drive and cannot install a hard drive in this laptop anymore.

I have tried "flipping the removable bit" to no avail.

Also ReadyBoost no matter what I try will not re-enable

So if anyone has any tips besides the * obvious (unless it works without me having to go out and buy some damn expensive ram please don't comment)

1. WinToUSB is only available with Win 8/8.1 Enterprise. Do you have that? How?

2. So you want to run the OS off the theoretical USB, and the pagefile on a different USB?

How much RAM do you have?
Specs on this laptop?

The page file cannot exist on removable media. This is by design and cannot be circumvented. In addition, removable media is not a valid installation destination for Windows 7.

My specs are as follows
AMD A6-3420M OC 2.6 GHz
4Gb physical ram
6520G integrated GPU

I have used the online utility WinToUSB to install a win7 HP iso to a 16gb flash drive

Also I have the OS running on said flash drive but seem unable to run anything that uses a moderate amount of ram and subsequently am stuck with not much to work off of

Ah, I thought you were speaking of the feature Windows To Go, which is a feature of Win 8/8.1 Enterprise.

But...pagefile on an external is a no go. By design.

I'm guessing running Windows off that USB is pretty slow, yes?
