Greetings!
I have an ancient Lenovo Y510p laptop. Recently the 1TB HDD started getting really slow. So I decided I would clone it to a 1TB SSD. Unfortunately, I may have waited too long as my machine suddenly decided to stop booting to Windows (10), presumably due to disk errors. I am currently stuck in an endless Automatic Repair loop. Assuming cloning (via Clonezilla) is still actually worth it at this point (optimal for me: I have over 700GB of applications and sample libraries, which will take me weeks to months to reload, if it comes to that), though the BIOS sees my EFI USB Device (Generic Flash Disk), the boot from that device fails everytime. (I made sure to make the stick bootable as Admin via makeboot64.bat beforehand on another machine.) A last resort is "Reset this PC". But that would roll me back to Windows 8, forcing me to shell out $120 for Windows 10. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Ed
