Question USB C header on case and no header on motherboard

So my case has a usb c on the front io, but my motherboard does not have whatever the usb c header is. It also only has 1 usb 3 header and it’s occupied. How can I connect the usb c? I've looked at usb 3 header splitters and haven't really seen anything good about them. It's an itx case too, so not much room.
