I have been researching for ever and have not found anything helpful for this. I have a Pixel 2 XL, the standard charging cable that comes with it is a usb-c to usb-c one that works with the charger just fine. However when i plug it into my motherboards usb-c port nothing happens, no notification from windows 10, no charging, nothing on the phone either. I know people have said windows 10 does not play well with usb-c cables and i was just wondering if anyone knew of how to fix this or has had similar issues, i would like to be able to charge my phone and transfer data without having to use a damn dongle.

The system specs are as follows;
Motherboard: Asus Maximus IX Hero Z270
CPU: i5-7600k
PSU: EVGA Super Nova G2 1300w

If more specs or system settings are needed just ask.
