Hello,

I recently bought a new monitor, the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P along with a USB 3.1 type C to DisplayPort cable because my laptop (ROG GL753VE) does not have a DisplayPort connection. Upon trying to connect via DP, I get the error "No Cable Connected." I tried with my HDMI cable to check that the monitor is working, and it does turn on. However, I am trying to utilize the 144Hz capabilities of the monitor and I know HDMI doesn't support 144Hz.

Could anyone please help me?

If thats the right laptop model, next to the HDMI port there is a miniDP port that you can use for output using a miniDP to DP cable. The USB 3.1 might not support DP out and might just be a USB Type-C 3.1 port. Considering the images I find online show only the SuperSpeed logo and no Thunderbolt logo, which is normally whats used for DP out.

I believe there is a miniDP port that I completely overlooked....

I'll give this a try, thank you so much! (I'm a dummy).
