USB cable connected to IEEE 1394a port

Hello! I'm afraid I connected my chassis' USB cable to my Mobos IEEE 1394a port, because I foolishly didn't check which ports was what. What kind of damage would this do? Because I'm looking at a mobo with only CPU and HSF connected, but it makes no beeps (I've plugged in the little speaker) and it shows no POST.
Could this be because of the USB into IEEE?
It's an Asus P6T Deluxe V2.
