I have a microphone that has worked for a couple of years. Since a few weeks ago it has stopped working on one of my pcs, with my friends just hearing a ringing when I talk (luckily I have a headset with a mic too) but on my second pc it still worked. Today though, it doesn't work through the back ports and through the one of the two front ports I've tried (headphones on the other port, need them there because I don't want to fry them by testing the other port) it gets extremly hot in about five minutes, as stated in the title i burned my leg on them.
Anyone know what could be causing this? I've read through some similair threads, but they were over ten years old and didn't really fit my case.
