USB device not recognized

I was working on a laptop and the mouse stopped working, received the malfunction error.

I have uninstalled and restart, removed the battery and left it off for hours, updated drivers, tried multiple devices, did the root usb power settings and nothing has solved the problem.

Reset the laptop to previous status and it worked for about 5 seconds.

Try different USB port? Are you plugging into a usb 3.0 with a 2.0 device? What kind mouse?

USB 2.0 port does not pick up the device at all.
Any mouse, doesn't matter what brand (I've tried about 5, USB 2.0 and 3.0) plugged into the USB 3.0 port gets the error, Flash drives and HDD works perfectly well...

Tried both wired and wireless as well.

Sounds like you have USB issues. Have you tried going to to the brand's website and downloading updated drivers for bios and usb drivers?
